Project Overview: DAADRAC (Development of Anticancer Agents for Drug-Resistant Cancers) is a pioneering research project that unites two Faculties - the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Sciences (UNSPMF) from South Bačka District, Serbia, and the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek (FDMZ) from Osijek-Baranja County, Croatia. These institutions bring together highly specialized expertise in specific fields. UNSPMF excels in drug design and medicinal chemistry of synthetic and natural compounds with anticancer properties, while FDMZ specializes in cancer biology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and metabolism.
Overall Objective: DAADRAC aims to elevate the research capacities of UNSPMF and FDMZ by leveraging their partnership. The project's ultimate objective is the development of novel anticancer drugs, specifically tailored to combat drug-resistant cancers. This collaborative effort elevates their research status and empowers them to tackle this formidable healthcare challenge.
The DAADRAC represents a groundbreaking cross-border collaboration, aligning the research strengths of two specialized institutions to address the pressing challenge of drug-resistant cancers. This unique partnership holds the potential to transform cancer treatment and significantly impact the field of anticancer research. Together, we aim to create a brighter, healthier future for our communities and beyond.
